It took a little while for this Shinnecock Bay-front residence to meet Mr. Chopper, but they had quite an introduction last week. The 3000 sq. ft. shingle-style traditional hit the market and the end of last July looking for $7.75M and just saw its price reduced by a whopping $850K chop. The new $6.9M ask, while still substantial, brings it a little closer in line with the neighbors. A quick scan shows that there are at least three other properties on this particular stretch of Meadow Lane looking for a buyer?all priced between $5.495M and $7.295M.
So what does this one do to stand out from the pack? Well, not much. It's a nice home for sure?the brokerbabble uses the phrase "superior finish" to describe the place?but so are the rest of them. They're all in great condition. They all overlook Shinnecock Bay. They're all set on at least an acre of property. They've definitely got their differences (square footage, # of bedrooms and style), but it's hard to pick a favorite from the bunch.
