A Call For Resignation

We're starting to think that Theresa Quigley would benefit from a nice long vacation away from local politics. Readers might recall that back in September a meeting about town lighting laws ended with Ms. Quigley's premature, tear-filled exit. Now, the councilwoman is under fire for allegedly referring to a group of Springs residents as "nazis" at a board meeting earlier this month. LTV's audio equipment caught her use of the "N word" while she was complaining to councilman Peter Van Scoyoc about the group's behavior. Referring to the comments as "appalling and denigrating" at last night's board meeting, a Springs resident called for her to both apologize and resign. The councilwoman, perhaps to her credit, did not respond. [27 East]
