Whoever designed this must be a fan of Norman Jaffe because it looks like it could pass for the less handsome version of Lloyds House, one of our favorite Jaffe designs from the mid 70s. It's such an obvious homage that we actually had to double check to make sure that it wasn't one of his. It's definitely not.
With that bit of trivia out of the way, what's this place got going for it? A surprising amount, actually. The 1.4 acre property backs up to the Noyac Golf and Country Club, so it offers "unparalleled views of pristine rolling terrain" from the master suite. The main level features a skylit kitchen and dining room, a pair of guest bedrooms, a double height great room with fireplace and sliders leading out to generous terraced slate patios, a heated gunite pool (of course), hot tub and landscaped entertainment area. Downstairs, there are two more guest bedrooms, a full bath, extra storage and a gym with sliders that exit out to the pool.
While the residence may not achieve the same aesthetic of what inspired it, we have to admit that the home does have a certain appeal. Thoughts?
