The Skinny: Persistance paid off for the seller of this 2500 sq. ft. Montauk retreat. It first entered the market in 2008 with pricetag of $2.3M and only saw one pricechop before finding a buyer three+ years later. $350K was probably more than they were hoping to cut from the price, but we can think of much more dramatic chops on houses that have been for sale for extended periods. And just what are the new owners?Violeta Goldaracena and Orlando Muyshondt?getting for their almost $2M? A "stylish" home with a "stylish" open floor plan set on a private acre close to Montauk's Hither Hills ocean beaches and across the street from Gurney's Inn. Flipping through the listing photos, the residence itself doesn't strike us as all too special...but those ocean views, damn. We don't know if they're worth every penny, but they sure are nice.
