We've been following this particular House At Sagaponac ever since we used it as one of our pricespotter contestants back in October. We noted that the Henry Cobb-designed modern found a buyer at the beginning of last month, but details of the sale weren't yet available. We now know that the Joe Farrell construction was purchased by Heiner Friedrich, art dealer and founder of the Dia Art Foundation.
The about-to-join-the-Quiet-Skies-Coalition Mr. Friedrich was able to pick up the place for more than $500K off the listed ask of $2.495M. The 20% discount makes us curious to know what the Olsen twins offered when they were in serious negotiations to buy the place before walking away from the deal.
