Here's another fine example of an incredibly expensive home that lacks any sort of character. While it may not be as snooze-inducing as another property we recently featured, the home's brokerbabble reads more like a high-end amenity checklist than a description of a something that'll be around in another few decades. Prepare to be bored:
"This 9000 sq. ft. spacious traditional home has six bedrooms, eight and one half bathrooms, and a beautiful living room with double height ceilings. A large gourmet kitchen opens into a formal dining room, family screening room and cozy den with one of four fireplaces. The fully finished basement has a custom designed gym, sauna and massage room. Other features...include tennis and a basketball court...a heated gunite pool surrounded by a patio with outdoor fireplace, dining area and built in grill. Additionally there is large vegetable garden and 4-car garage with a guest apartment and separate entrance above. All this overlooking an adjacent field which adds to the tranquility of this priceless setting."It gets points for the vegetable garden, the few rooms with bold color choices and the pretty obvious playroom, but not much else about this place stands out. That's probably why it's been on the market for almost two years with no buyer. Well, that and the price. At almost $13M with nary a pricechop in sight, this is going to continue sitting for quite some time. · Listing: Sagaponack South With Pool And Tennis [Saunders]
