Whether they were talking about Amagansett's most expensive listing, Surf Lodge's drawn out court battle, or architectural "masterpieces", Curbed readers didn't hesitate to mix it up a little. Here's a quick rundown of the choicest comments from last week:

THEY McWANT HOW MUCH FOR McTHAT?: "Way McOverpriced!", "Too McSpensive", "McUnrealistic folks", "They are McDreaming if they think they can get $14.5 M for this."

THE BIGGER PICTURE: "It's a whole quality of life issue, that what Montauk's Concerned Citizens are fighting for, not just blocking some silly deck. If Surf Lodge gets over on all of these violations (and it looks like they will) then the people in the town have a right to worry about similar operations opening up around Montauk and getting away with the same flagrant disregard for town codes and order."

SPEAKING OF QUALITY OF LIFE: "We need to keep this neighborhood pharmacy open and running and in this location. WE DO NOT NEED ANOTHER RALPH LAUREN OR EXPENSIVE CLOTHING STORE IN EAST HAMPTON. When is this insanity going to stop - save the local businesses who service the community year round!!!!"

A DIFFERENCE OF OPINION: "The resistance to any architecture in the Hamptons other than "the cottage" is really mind-blowing. Just because something was built in the 70's or 80's does not automatically make it "dated." The same way a 150 year-old victorian is not "dated." This is an incredible house. "
