The duo behind Sag Harbor's Beacon have announced that their newest year-round venture, The Bell & Anchor, will be open in time for the 2012 summer season. David Loewenberg (co-owner of Beacon, Southampton’s little|red and red|bar brasserie and East Hampton’s Fresno) and long-time friend Sam McCleland (executive chef at Beacon) plan on serving up a "surf-centric menu of lobster whole and in rolls, shellfish plateaus and fishes of the day" as well as "turf favorites including steaks and chops" when the doors open to the new Noyac eatery this May. While the Hamptons aren't exactly hurting for "elegant" (see: pricey) restaurants that serve seafood and steaks, the folks involved here lead us to believe it could be a worthwhile addition?Beacon's generally well-received and Fresno is one of our favorites in the area.
