After A Failed Contract, The Haines Farmhouse Has A Buyer

New, 3 comments

After this listing had a contract that fell through sometime after March 2011, The Haines Farmhouse has found another buyer. Doing so took a $205K pricechop (and almost ten more months) so hopefully, this one will stick.

Built in 1812 for the golf-loving Haines family, the home sits on almost a full acre on the corner of Ocean Road and Church Lane in Bridgehampton. It offers three-bedrooms, three and a half baths, four fireplaces, beamed ceilings, a library and a formal dining room. The property itself is across the street from The Bridgehampton Club and includes established specimen trees a pair of outbuildings and room for a pool.

Corcoran's brokerbabble notes that the new owner could "restore or build your dream home" and we're really hoping it's the former. It would be a shame for this to be replaced with an another over-built home devoid of any character.
