The First Post-Sandy Oceanfront Pops Up On The Market

New, 12 comments

While the area is still recovering from the damage caused by last week's historic hurricane, at least one homeowner is wasting no time trying to offload their oceanfront estate. This $30M listing just hit the market courtesy of Sotheby's.

Set on approximately 4.3 acres, the "current residence offers five bedrooms, five baths, two half baths, a living room and family room with fireplaces, a formal dining room, and eat-in kitchen. A laundry room, and utility/mud room connect the main residence to the attached three-car garage with room above to build two more stories." And, as the case with many a home out here, the brokerbabble notes that you can renovate what's already there or "build new across a generous 37,000 s.f. building envelope." The heated gunite pool also makes an appearance, as does a pool/guest house that "abuts the dune and has a roof deck with unimpeded views of the ocean." Though, we don't know how big of a selling point being near a dune is these days.
