One of the only bright spots in the post-Sandy Hamptons is that area businesses (the ones able to open, anyway) experienced an uptick in business. According to The East Hampton Star, places like The Golden Pear, Bookhampton, and Indian Wells Tavern "were doing brisk business" the day after the storm. One explanation for the boost in sales? According to Rowdy Hall's manager, "Everybody just wanted to get out of the house." [EH Star]
