The Southampton Press is reporting that the iconic Lobster Inn has been sold. The now former owner, Skip Tollefsen, had been trying to offload the 10 acre property since 2006 when changes to Sunrise Higway cut off access to the restaurant: "I used to go to work every day, work at night too, have fun and make money. Now it seemed like I was there all day, had no fun and made no money. But I had a good run." It was originally listed for a litte more than $2 million, but ended up changing hands for a lesser amount. And just what do the new owners?Peconic Bay Marina, LLC and Peconic Bay Residences, LLC?plan on doing with their purchase? Condos. Yuck. [27 East]
