One Of America's Top Donors Unloads Her Southampton Home

New, 1 comment

Ulla Searing Du Pont, widow of Arthur Searing (who was vice president of finance at the American International Group), has found a buyer for her Southampton five-bedroom. When not sullying herself in the rough and tumble world of real estate, the 94-year-old Ms. Searing has made quite a name for herself in the world of philanthropy, donating to the Parrish Art Museum as well as several academic institutions in Florida.

Like another listing that recently entered contract, it didn't take long for this 3000 sq. ft. residence on almost an acre to find a buyer?the home hit the market asking $3.95M only two months ago. While we wait for the sale to close, please place all bets on the final purchase price in comments.
