It looks like Sag Harbor's Pierson High School will soon see drug-sniffing dogs patrolling its hallways. The idea was first proposed last year by Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Gratto as a way to deter kids from bringing illegal substances to school. After initial objections, parents and school employees now all seem on board with the plan. Hopefully, the program will continue ridding our streets of the green menace: Over the past two years, 10 such patrols have occurred resulting in two arrests for marijuana possession. [27 East]
