Today's entry into the "homes normal people might actually be able afford" category is this three-bedroom in the Springs section of East Hampton.
Save for the skylights, central A/C and an extra 100 sq. ft. of living space, it's almost a carbon copy of the saltbox we featured late last week. It offers hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, a wood burning fireplace, an open living/dining room, a balcony off the second floor bedroom and a wrap around deck. Even the half acre parcel (with room for a pool) is the same size.
This one does look to be in better shape, though. However, that doesn't seem to warrant the slightly-higher ask of $495K?it's been on the market for over a year at this point. Then again, that could just be attributed to the abysmal market for homes under $500K.
