When six listings with different designs for the same address popped up on our radar the other week, we couldn't help but be a little curious. We've seen the same plans applied to different parcels of land before, but never the opposite. We got in touch with the listings' broker, Raymond Lord, for some much needed clarification.
It turns out, the designs have all been created by "world-renowned" architects through a company called IMaestri. If and when a buyer choses the one they like, they'll meet with the architect to finalize the layout, construction materials, overall look, etc. 8 - 10 months later...tada!...your very own dream home. While some of them are really out there (you'll see in a moment), Mr. Lord assured us that all of the plans are "are within building codes of East Hampton." And if none of these houses do it for ya, the land?"one of the largest privately-held parcels left in East Hampton, consisting of 35 acres?can be picked up for $15M.
Keep in mind, these are just plans. The cost, square footage and overall look will undoubtedly change depending upon the homebuyer's input.
