Yesterday, we noted that Setsuo Ito's "Island In The Sky" was in contract for an undisclosed sum. However, an in-the-know reader (and an Email to a listing agent) set us straight. The 13,000 sq. ft. residence set on 14 acres was actually sold back in September for $3M. For a house that was originally?if unrealistically? listed at $30M, you can understand our initial confusion. However, everything checked out and the property did change hands. Let's just hope the new owner's taste is a little less...uh...electic...than that of Mr. Ito. [Previously, Curbed Hamptons]
