It looks like the owners of this five-bedroom manor decided to switch agencies to ring in the new year. When the home first hit the market last May, it was a Corcoran listing. As of yesterday, StreetEasy is telling us that the folks over at Douglas Elliman are at the helm. The ask didn't change when the handover occurred, so the owners must be pretty confident that they've got the place priced correctly and a new agency will be able find a buyer.
Enough of the sales talk...on to the house! Built in 1993, the 4,500 sq. ft. home is set on almost 2 south-of-the-highway acres in Southampton's estate section. It offers "an elegant living room with fireplace, a formal dining room, a wonderful covered dining terrace for gracious dinner parties, 3 downstairs bedrooms including a master bedroom suite with a fireplace." The property itself offers formal rose and boxwood gardens, a tennis court and the requisite heated gunite pool. At 1.8 acres, there is most certainly room for expansion?which we're guessing would mean a poolhouse, as the basics all seem to be covered.
Looking through the pictures and listing description, we're not entirely convinced that the key to selling this place is a new agency. It's definitely nice, but $10M nice? We're not so sure. Thoughts?
