This Wasn't Already A Law?

Until yesterday, boats were allowed to dump their raw sewage into Long Island Sound. Ew. While Connecticut banned this on their side of the Sound in 2007, "boaters could [still] cross a magic line in the Sound and flush" in New York. But now the entire area is a no-flush-zone and officials expect this change will help "improve water quality." Um, yes. [The Day]
