Gas Prices

New, 1 comment

It seems that pumps on the South Fork haven't been keeping pace with the recent drop in gas prices enjoyed by the rest of the New York. According to Assemblyman Fred Theile Jr.'s latest price comparison, consumers on the East End only saw a drop of $.06 per gallon while the rest of the Long Island is sitting pretty with a $.13 decrease. Perhaps unaware of the unofficial "Hamptons Tax", Mr. Theile said "It raises concerns as to why prices have not dropped as rapidly here on the South Fork." [Patch]
