A South Of The Highway Eyesore, Both Inside And Out

While we prefer the glass walls and open spaces of modern design to the cedar shingles and gambrel roofs employed by the majority of East End houses, this four-bedroom reminds us that ugly comes in all styles.

Designed by the late architect Don Chapell, the exterior's mismatched colors and disparate shapes bring to mind a Soweto shanty town. The interior only adds to the home's disjointed look. Each room seems to be staged with furniture and artwork pulled straight out of a storage space untouched since the 80s. And just look at that kitchen! Look at it!

We would hope that the $6.95M ask includes a budget for a complete renovation. This most definitely needs one.
