Going Green

The East Hampton Food Pantry (yes, there are struggling families in the Hamptons) has seen its electric bill cut in half thanks to GreenLogic. The Southampton-based company, known for its high-profile projects with food and wine companies, donates one solar system annually and this year chose the 30-year-old non-profit. The installation comes at a critical time for the pantry as the number of East End families in need continues to rise: They've seen "a four fold increase in just the last two years, and nearly a tenfold increase in the last decade."
