Historically Significant Sag Home Now 500K Cheaper

This could be a record. Less than a month after hitting the market, the 170-year-old L'Hommedieu House has seen 10% knocked off its original ask and is now priced at $4.5m. Why so fast?

We're guessing that there was absolutely no interest in the home during its first four weeks on the market. The five-bedroom may be historically significant, but $5m is a decent bit of coin for a house that sits on only .3 acres. Considering that other similarly-priced homes in Sag Harbor Village offer a much better value, it's pretty clear that the original ask was overly-optimistic.
