Home Surveillance

This week, we learned about a homeowner who came home to discover someone had broken in and had themselves a grand ol' time in their absence (as evidenced by all the used condoms and empty champagne bottles left behind), but how to prevent such a thing? According to the New York Times, install a camera! Of course, this idea isn't particularly new...Pierre Weber regularly spies on his employees working at his eponymous Bridgehampton restaurant from the comfort of home through internet-enabled video cameras. But this week's police blotter does serve as a good reminder that having a second home is not without its risks, so maybe it's not such a bad idea to install one of the gadgets and gizmos featured in this article.
