Justice has finally been served to Nydia Vega, the 64-year-old "society grifter" who was nabbed for bouncing checks all over the East End in 2009 and 2010: "The swanky grifter bilked Hamptons businesses out of high-end items like Chanel bedsheets, pricey wine glasses, and even a Harley-Davidson motorcycle." During sentencing yesterday, Vega "mouthed off to an exasperated judge," but she was still given a break; she'll serve just a 2-to-4-year prison sentence (although she could have gotten up to 7 years for her crimes).
