According to a press release from AT&T today, "Customers in the Hamptons are expected to experience improved mobile broadband coverage and voice performance" as a result of some new signal boosters they've added to 13 existing cell sites along Montauk Highway from Southampton to Montauk. This presumably means trying to get reception will now simply be "incredibly painful" instead of "the worst thing ever in the history of the world." Unfortunately, it's going to take way more investment on the East End before anyone with AT&T service ever gets anything close to an "extraordinary network experience." [PRNewswire]
