Top Wine Lists

Wine Spectator Magazine has just released the 2011 "Restaurant Wine List Awards" and a bunch of East End joints made the list, including The American Hotel in Sag Harbor, Oso Restaurant in Southampton, and Red|Bar Brasserie (also in Southampton). The American Hotel does indeed have a crazy list of more than 2,500 selections from all over the planet with an inventory of 30,000 bottles. Oso offers "140 selections and an inventory of 590 bottles, specializing in Californian wines" and Red|Bar Brasserie's strengths are "in wines from California and France, with 140 selections and an inventory of 2,100." Also included on Wine Spectator's list are East Hampton's Fresno, 1770 House, Living Room, and the Palm. [Southampton Patch]
