The Hampton Jitney is not amused by the music video that's been zipping around the web this week called The Jitney's Just a F•••ing Bus. A Jitney spokesman said, "I'm not sure what the point was. Is it an attack on the Jitney? Is it another objectification of the Hamptons? ... It's not okay with the people here." But Nina Katchadourian, the singer/songwriter in the video, explains, "The paradoxical thing is it's actually not a song about the Jitney at all. It's about my displaced California sensibility." That might be going a bit far...we're pretty sure the song really is all about the Jitney. But hopefully all PR is good PR. [East Hampton Star]
