Flip flops, shorts, and tank tops with sparkly dragon appliqués are totally OK at Hamptons clubs, right? Hahahahaha. No. Although we thought this was kinda obvious, the New York Times felt the need to write a whole story about what to wear when going out clubbing, including on the East End: "New Yorkers fleeing the city in summer may think they’ve earned a vacation from judgment, but they’re wrong." At South Pointe in Southampton, for example, they work hard to keep the "time-share crowd" out and would rather their patrons "dress right out of a Ralph Lauren advertisement." [New York Times]
