It's another Summer Saturday in the Hamptons, which means there's a tons of events. Here are our top three picks:
LONGHOUSE RESERVE'S WHITE HOT & BLUE BENEFIT GALA
6p at 133 Hands Creek Road, East Hampton
This event is reliably lovely, so this is our top choice for the evening. The setting can't be beat, the cocktails and catering are plentiful and varied, there'll be a performance by dancers from the New York City Ballet and performers from the Big Apple Circus, and dessert will be served under a full moon. Suggested attire is "dazzling blues and hot whites," so do dress accordingly.
BAY STREET THEATRE'S ROCK THE DOCK BENEFIT GALA
6:30p on Long Wharf, Sag Harbor
A totally different vibe, but generally fun nevertheless. This year, Chris Bauer (HBO's True Blood), Blythe Danner (Gwyneth's mom), and Richard Kind (the voice of a van in Cars 2) will all be in attendance.
TASTE OF TWO FORKS
6:30p at Sayre Park, 154 Snake Hollow Road, Bridgehampton
This is their first year, so it's hard to know exactly how this one is going to turn out, but they've pulled in a nice roster of East End restaurants, so how bad could it be? Chef Marcus Samuelsson will be hosting and chefs from places like Almond, Nick & Toni's, and LT Burger will be serving up grub.
