Betting the Farm

New, 5 comments

The latest issue of Vanity Fair hits newsstands today and includes an article about the White family of Sagaponack, who have continuously farmed their 57-acre potato field since 1695. As the story goes, Anthony Petrello, a Houston oil mogul, paid $2 million to the Whites for 11 acres of their beachfront property and, needless to say, things didn't go smoothly: “If there’s a modern-day Satan, it’s Tony," says a member of the White family, who now "may have lost everything."
