Tiny Houses Almost As Expensive Per Square Foot As The Real Thing

For those who love architectural models and are looking for something to do this weekend, the sweet spot in the Venn Diagram is at the Southampton Historical Museum, which is hosting an exhibit called "Phenomenal Places" until September 3rd. The man behind the models, Gary Lawrence, has been building the things (which start at $3000) for more than twenty years and the exhibit features a selection of his tiny Hamptons homes designed by notable local architects such as Francis Fleetwood, Frank Greenwald, Preston Phillips, Kitty McCoy, and Peter Cook.
