At about 5:45pm on Saturday, actor Darrell Hammond was in an car accident (pictured above...we happened to be driving by when it happened). Although Hammond was visibly shaken as he was helped out of his car and onto the side of the road by other drivers, nothing was broken and he's going to be OK.
But Hammond, who was currently starting in the Bay Street Theatre's production of "Tru" (which is about Truman Capote's tragic, later years), wasn't able to perform that night or the following day, which were the last two performances of the show.
