Earlier this month, the New York Post reported that there was underaged drinking going on at Nello Summertimes in Southampton and that the local police were being paid to keep quiet about it. The Southampton police "strongly refuted" the suggestion they were on Nello's payroll and in an attempt to prove their point (or overcompensate?), officers have just conducted an undercover operation at the restaurant and arrested one of the bartenders for serving alcohol to minors.
