Curbed Network Back Online After Outage, Plovers Not Responsible

Although we suspected plovers were somehow involved, it turns out that it was really just the FBI that was responsible for knocking the Curbed Network (which also includes the Eater and Racked family of websites) offline all day yesterday.

Apparently the Bureau conducted a night time raid on the data center in Virginia where Curbed has servers, but instead of just taking what they needed, they took racks and racks of servers, which included the data of many innocent websites, including Curbed. Silly Feds! The New York Times has more details about the whole thing here.

You may notice some glitches today as our tech crew moves everything to new servers, but we're delighted to be back online now and hope you missed us as much as we missed you.
