Wherever Martha goes, money follows, or so it seems for food stylist Susan Spungen and her gallery-owner husband, Steven Kasher. They put their cozy 1,400-sq-ft 3 bedroom, 1 Bath cottage on half an acre in Sagaponack on the market back in February for $3.995M and just sold it for $4.326M.
Spungen, a former food editor at Martha Stewart Living, purchased the home in 2000 for $1.1 million and has since gone on to be the key food stylist on a variety of chick flicks, including Julie and Julia, Eat Pray Love, and It's Complicated.
Photos of the home certainly exude a certain Martha feel and one wonders if the association with the Doyenne of Taste helped move the sale well above the asking price. No word if the couple is reinvesting their healthy profit back into another Hamptons property just yet.
