The Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) got a bit of bad press last week when they required a fee to hang American flags from their Shelter Island poles. But, in an expression of good will, LIPA's CEO paid the fee himself and drove out from western Long Island with his wife for the island's big Memorial Day Parade and was "impressively humble and quiet."
