Hamptons Beach House Lands in MePa: Gentrification Complete!

If anyone needed proof that the Meatpacking District "isn't what it used to be," there's now a Hamptons Beach House plopped right in the middle of Gansevoort Square. Although the 800-sq-ft home is made to look like something you might see on a drive down Georgica Road, the cottage is really a Tommy Hilfiger Prep World pop-up store, full of important staples like boat shoes, anchor-motif oxfords, and badminton rackets. But if we can't make it there before they ship the collapsable building off to Los Angeles, we take comfort in the fact that we can always stock up on these types of preppy items in the real Hamptons.
