Model Citizens

Matthew Norklun (right) picked up dog poop on the beach and left it on the steps of East Hampton Village Hall. This bag was labeled with the date, time, and location of the collection. Why would a former magazine model do such a thing? Because he was simply sick of people not cleaning up after their dogs and wanted the Village to do something about it. After being fined $500 for littering, Norklun's new tactic is to now just call the police on anyone he sees not picking up after their pets. So for anyone who wants to avoid Norklun's blue steel wrath, remember that dogs are prohibited from beaches all summer from 9a and 6p (and picking up after them is required at all other times).
