Avanti Culinary Market Fills Citarella's Shoes; More!

New, 1 comment

WATER MILL—Losing Citarella was a tough blow. But a new full-service gourmet market by the name Avanti Culinary Market is looking to fill the void! The market's fronted by the owners of Southampton Wines and Long Wharf Wines and the chef/owner of Muse Restaurant & Aquatic Lounge. The 3,500-square-foot space will offer everything from fresh seafood to essential kitchen ingredients. Yum! With tons of ready-to-eat dishes, Avanti Culinary Market is also down to cater your events (or tomorrow's lunch). And in case you're wondering, Avanti translates to "a step ahead." [EaterWire]

SAG HARBOR—Local, healthy, and organic: all of our favorite buzzwords squeezed into one new restaurant! The newcomer's called Page at 63 Main, and will offer lots more than "natural" and "eclectic" cuisine in the $12 to $22 range. According to Hamptons Online, the eatery will also boast an outdoor market serving picnic-friendly, health-oriented snacks, and even "breakfast items such as fruit and crepes." Executive Chef Jessie Flores has over nine years of experience from that little restaurant (formerly?) known as Della Femina. [Hamptons.com]
