After Hamptons Resorts & Hotels went bankrupt, The Capri motel in Southampton found itself on the market. There was a lot of interest surrounding the former home to Day & Night, but an actual buyer didn't materialize until a couple weeks ago. As the Post heard, that buyer comes in the form of a partnership between the owners of the W South Beach and Surf Lodge's Steven Kamali. The partnership plans to reignite the former hotspot, making claims of a new look and a "world-class restaurant." And guess what: they aren't kidding! Nobu co-owner Richie Notar tells Grub Street they may "have a deal signed this week" for a more casual spin-off of the upscale eatery. The joint will go by the name Nobu at the Beach, and even "plans to offer catering." Of the deal, Notar has this to say: "I think it's great because our customer base is there. It excites our staff and we found the right fit." Indeed!
