Everything You Ever Knew About The Hamptons May Change

New, 1 comment

Are you ready to have your world rocked? (And we don't mean by the MTK Summer Festival.) The Post dropped a real bomb of a story yesterday, which pretty much unsettles everything you've held sacred about the Hamptons. Well, maybe not, but change is still a comin'! Up first are reports that Bridgehampton Polo is one and done because Two Trees owner David Walentas "decided this week not to renew the agreement" to lease his $55 million farm to the polo club organizers. And without a replacement venue in sight, there might be one less reason to sip champagne before noon this summer. Up next are whispers surrounding Hamptons nightlife. As noted earlier, Lily Pond is dried up (and for sale!), which will free up Michael Satsky to potentially takeover at Dune and the EMM Group to create an East Hampton outpost of SL. So not all bad!

But we're not done yet! Neither Philippe nor RDV will make appearances this season either, leaving both the 100-seat restaurant space and Tavern currently vacant for this summer. But with the recent uptick in nightlife activity, we expect that to change shortly.
