Going Green

Prudential broker Andrew Anderson and eco-friendly developer Paul Galvin are shipping out a new concept of "affordable" luxury to Amagansett. How are they doing it? With recycled shipping crates, of course! Galvin tells the Post that building homes out of old shipping crates is cheaper, faster, and more environmentally friendly than typical "luxe" construction. With that in mind, the team expects to list a four-bedroom shipping-crate home near the beach in Amagansett for under $1.5 million this summer. [NYP]
