Almond, the eternally popular Bridgehampton French bistro, will reopen for summer 2011 in the former One Ocean space on the corner of Bridgehampton's Main Street and Ocean Drive, reports Diner's Journal. The new space is considerably more glam than the broke-down house Almond owners Eric Lemonides and Jason Weiner abandoned in December after lease negotiations fell through. How will Almond regulars react to the considerably airier new digs? And can Almond finally cure the prime corner location of the curse that's claimed a series of increasingly shitty restaurants? Time will tell. Meantime, restaurateurs seeking to capture some of that old Almond magic can lease the old digs for $150,000/year.
