Now that the East Hampton Town Board unanimously approved the decision to apply for FAA money, an online petition has popped up decrying the move. Sponsored by "registered voter and full time resident of East Hampton" Susan McGraw Keber, the iPetition states that the decision will lead to "more aircraft, more noise, and a heightened lack of tranquility" and that improvements to the airport should be paid for by "implement[ing] landing, parking and storage fees." The plea has a long way to go before the board will actually take it seriously?at the time of this writing it has garnered only 15 "signatures". [Previously, iPetitions]
