Looks like the East Hampton Star figured out why Larry Penny was suspended. We mentioned that Mr. Penny was put on unpaid leave following an emergency town board meeting yesterday, but we didn't know why. The Star is now reporting that?we hope you haven't eaten recently?one factor was the animal carcasses he had improperly stored in the basement of town offices located at 300 Pantigo Place. After ignoring orders to remove said carcasses for several months, the director of natural resources was then suspended. Gross. [East Hampton Star]
