While nothing's perfect, this North Haven 6-bedroom is definitely one of our favorites in recent memory. Designed by John Laffey and built by William Kalbacher, the newly constructed home offers sunset views of Noyack Bay and Shelter Island, 9000 sq. ft. of living space and 1.84 acres of waterfront property. Cue the brokerbabble:
"On the first floor there is a spacious formal living room with fireplace and coffered ceilings, a formal dining room, an expansive gourmet kitchen with home office space plus dining area, a family room with fireplace and access to the attached 3-car garage."Community tennis, beach rights (accessible by a shared staircase) and?you guessed it?a heated, gunite pool are also included. Oddly, the basement isn't finished (although it does have a fireplace). While some will undoubtedly take issue with the manse's non-south-of-the-highway location, we're not too bothered by it. Spending 5 minutes in the wood-paneled turret looking out at the water is all it would take for us to forget that we're not on Lily Pond Lane.
