Roughly three months after floating the idea of a ban on bamboo in the village of Sag Harbor, trustess have voted to remove the legislation from consideration. Readers will recall that East Hampton Village came to a similar decision early last month. Perhaps taking a cue from The Common Sense Playbook, a Sag Harbor trustee argued that, "the best thing to do is to advise people not to plant invasive species" and let neighbors work out disagreements between themselves.
