It took more than a year and a half to complete the renovations to Hook Mill in East Hampton, but a combination of village workers and volunteers from John Hummel Construction were able to finish work up this past weekend. Their last minute efforts are responsible for the East Hampton Village landmark having its sails attached and lit for the holiday season for the first time since 2009.
The little windmill (pictured at right), which served as a constant reminder of the much-delayed project, was no longer present as of Monday morning. Woo hoo!
