It's more than four months away, but Montauk is making sure that 2012's Friends of Erin Parade isn't marred by scores of underage drinkers. In an effort to combat the alcoholic tomfoolery, the organizers have moved the start time ahead three hours to 10am. "We hope they won't get up that early," said Joseph Bloecker, the Montauk group's president. In the past, revelers were able to take the 9am train from Jamaica (and get sauced on the way the the parade), but not this year. No mention of how the town plans to keep parade-goers of legal age from over-indulging. [Newsday]
